You can't remove mold with these factors, but you can help prevent its return. Maintaining a good environment is key.
To prevent the return of mold, it is essential to keep indoor temperatures below 80 degrees Fahrenheit and relative humidity levels below 60%. This can be achieved by using a high-quality dehumidifier and properly ventilating areas of high moisture, such as bathrooms and basements. Regularly inspecting and repairing any leaks in plumbing or roofing can also help maintain a dry environment that is resistant to mold growth.
Whatever it takes... Removing the stain, or removing the substrate, we can ensure that your building is free of mold and ready for renovation.
The first step of restoring a mold-free environment to your home or rental property is to eliminate all trace of the infiltrating fungus. When caught early, it may mean as little as treating the surface vegetation and stains then neutralizing the infectious organism. However, sometimes, it may require the removal of sheetrock or other substrates from your structure so that new material may be applied in its place. While we are not building contractors, we are prepared to take whatever steps necessary to deliver to you a mold-safe structure.
After protecting the rest of the structure from our work zone, our first course of action is to capture and contain all dry and loose vegetation with HEPA vacuums and Air Scrubbers. We want to make the space as safe for working as possible.
Once this is complete, we can then assess the degree of mold penetration into building substrates, making a plan to either remove the stains from the surfaces or the substrates from the structure.
Once all mold-infested surfaces are exposed and the treated, we then use a powerful, yet professionally safe vapor to permeate deeply into the surfaces, neutralizing the organism at its roots and removing spores from the air.
Once all surfaces have been treated, and the neutralizing vapors dissipated, we will be applying an all-natural biostatic coating that makes each surface both hydrophobic and antimicrobial. We want to help prevent mold from returning.
